The Church of God aims to help reach out to people from across the globe. That is why the church has different ministries and outreach programs centered on this. The Church of God World Missions Department is one of those ministries focused on overseeing the missions and evangelism being done throughout the world.
During the 1995 General Assembly, Mary Foster, the coordinator of the Woman’s Missionary Band, presented the idea of Missionary Partnership Alliance to the church. Since the Church did not have funds for a National Overseer, the Missionary Partnership Alliance will aid and provide special reports to the mission fields. The program will also help the men working in the mission fields to focus on winning souls to Christ and His church.
The National Overseer got $200 per month from the Church of God World Missions Department for many years. At present, the National Overseer gets $300 per month. Looking at it, the $300 is not nearly enough compared to what is needed but for the overseer it is a blessing as they continue to work for the Lord. The Church of God members and friends can actually support the National Overseers through one-time donation of monthly pledges. Through the support of the Church of God members and friends, the World Missions Department will be able to continue with this ministry.
All the financial support, whether one-time or thru monthly pledges, go through the Church of God General Headquarters then out to the mission fields. The Church of God World Missions Department is seeking individuals who are willing to participate and be part of this ministry. You may send in your donations through your local church designating it to the Missionary Partnership Alliance or MPA. With your prayer and support the Church of God World Missions Department will be able to send the National Overseers to the mission fields.
